Bernd Blumenstein

Bernd Blumenstein is the CFO of Siemens Mobility in North America. He is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and implementing processes and standardizations to help unify and strengthen the business organizations within Siemens’ largest market in the world.

Bernd has thirty years of experience in the rail industry, and started his twenty-five year global career at Siemens as a Senior Commercial Project Manager, managing large infrastructure projects across the United States and Norway. He is an expert in optimizing costs and setting financial targets as the former Vice President of Finance for Siemens Mobility’s global Rail Electrification business segment headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, CFO for Siemens Mobility Spain and the South-West Europe region, and Vice President of Finance for Siemens Mobility’s global business segment Mass Transit based in Braunschweig, Germany.

Bernd’s passion for mobility, sustainability, and digitalization brings an exciting perspective to the Siemens North American team. He received his state-certified Business Economist (BBA) in Marketing from the Wolfenbuttel School of Business.
