Monday May 20th 6:00 to 8:00 PM

For anyone who plans to be in Chicago the evening before the conference starts, a welcome reception with light dinner will be held at the St. Jane Hotel from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

Tuesday May 21st

AM Agenda Day 1 — 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Welcome Address: Chad Jasmin will welcome everyone to the User Conference and set the stage for 2 days of innovation and collaboration.

Key Note Address: Larry Jordan, President and CTO of Wi-Tronix – presents on the future vision for rail and the “See Hear Feel and Experience” vision for your locomotive fleet

Special Guest Speaker: Noelle Pikus-Pace, Olympic Silver Medalist and Motivational speaker.

Future Wi-Tronix Roadmaps: Explore and discuss the future vision for major developments for new functions and improvements to current capabilities. Lisa Matta, VP of Product, will lead the discussions, with additional insights from the Wi-Tronix Product Team: Paul Connolly, Mihir Phadke, and Ritu Chawla.

Tuesday, May 21st

Industry insights: Presented by Bob Novelli, Sr. Manager and Director for BNSF Railway, and Joe McGough, Director of Infrastructure Performance & Metrics for the Florida East Coast Railway.
Break out Discussion Sessions continued for more detailed investigation and exploration of specific topics. Some sessions topics include:

  • Visual Analytics for PTC critical assets.
  • Deeper exploration of Violet View and Unique Violet Features.
  • Operations focus on maximizing effective use of train handling alerts, operating rule compliance alerts, and fleets.
  • Real-Time Dashboards and more.

You’ll be staying at the Chicago St. Jane, a beautiful hotel located at 230 N. Michigan Avenue in the heart of downtown Chicago. Located near the Chicago River, there are a variety of things to see and places to go near the venue. Formerly the Hard Rock hotel, 2004 to 2017, this building has been renamed after Jane Addams, the first American woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize for her work on behalf of the city’s poor and immigrant communities. The hotel actively partners with philanthropic organizations, such as Heartland Alliance and Inspiration Kitchens, to provide training courses and employment opportunities within the hotel. In-kind donations will be given to the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and The Night Ministry. Art from students at Marwen and Project Onward, two area arts-based non-profits, will be routinely displayed throughout common spaces, so look for the local artistic talent on display throughout the building during your stay.

On Monday evening, as our guests arrive, a Welcome Reception will be held at the Chicago St. Jane from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Please join us for appetizers and a chance to catch up.

Conference Location

Our meetings will be held in Convene, a contemporary event space with tech-enabled meeting rooms along with lounge, dining, and reception areas. Located at 16 W. Adams Street, you can walk there from the hotel, and enjoy the scene at Millennium Park along the way, or take an Uber to get there faster. Enter at ground level, the meetings will be held on the 2nd floor. Event staff will be there to greet you and direct you to our meeting space.

Evening Reception

On Tuesday, we will end our day of presentations and speakers by attending a User Appreciation reception. Please join us at TheWit Chicago, a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel. Located at 201 North State Street on the 27th floor of the hotel, the reception will cap Day 1 of our conference and will be held at their rooftop venue, Rooftop at the Wit, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21st.
