Meet Our Leadership Team

Lawrence B. Jordan, Jr.
President, Chief Technology Officer

Larry is the President and co-founder of Wi-Tronix. Before founding Wi-Tronix, Larry managed the development of electronic systems for GM Electro-Motive. At Electro-Motive, he led the development of the IntelliTrain remote monitoring system and the FIRE cab electronics system. Larry is an active member of committees within the Association of American Railroads that establish industry standards for electronic systems. Larry holds multiple patents in the area of locomotive control systems. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1989 and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1992.

Michael D. Heilmann
Executive Vice President, COO

Mike is the Executive Vice-President and co-founder of Wi-Tronix. He leads Wi-Tronix Business Development efforts along with overseeing Wi-Tronix IT, Project Engineering, and Sales and Marketing groups. Before founding Wi-Tronix, Mike was a Project Engineer for GM Electro-Motive where he led the development of the IntelliTrain remote monitoring system. Mike is an active member of the Association of American Railroads Railway Electronics Standards Committee and a former Army Signal Corps Officer. Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State in 1989 and Master of Business Administration degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2004.

Duane D. Hong
Vice President - Customer Success

Prior to joining Wi-Tronix, Duane was Senior Project Engineer at GM Electro-Motive where he led the integration of wireless devices into the FIRE cab electronics platform. He brings over 15 years of experience in product engineering and customer support to the Wi-Tronix team. Duane graduated from the Northwestern University McCormick Schoolof Engineering with a Bachelor of Science inElectrical Engineering in 1997.

Lisa A. Matta
Vice President - Product Development

Lisa is Vice President-Product Development of Wi-Tronix. Prior to joining Wi-Tronix, she was a Senior Project Engineer at GM Electro Motive where she led the development of the FIRE cab electronics platform and the integration of the Wabtec FastBrake system. Lisa brings to the Wi-Tronix team over 15 years of experience in project management and electronic systems integration. Appointed as a Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society National Official, Lisa facilitates professional development seminars to engineering students in teamwork, leadership, problem solving and interpersonal skills. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toledo in 1997 and her Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of Michigan in 1999.

Norman L. Bridge
Vice President - Operations & Quality

Norm leads Wi-Tronix’s manufacturing, material management, customer support and quality efforts. Norm has over 30 years of transportation industry experience. Prior to joining Wi-Tronix he served as President of 10G LLC, a joint venture between Caterpillar, Inc. and The Morey Corporation. Norm also spent 20 years with GM Electro-Motive Division, where he held various engineering leadership positions, most recently as Director of Control and Electrical Systems Design. He oversaw the development of the SD70ACe and SD70M-2 electrical systems and EMD’s Intelli-Train remote monitoring and diagnostic system. Norm has a proven track record of success and an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Chad Jasmin
Vice President Sales & Marketing

Chad joined Wi-Tronix in October 2012 as Business Solutions Manager and was named Director of Sales in December 2013. He has been instrumental in acquiring new business, developing new products and enhancing overall customer satisfaction. Chad led the introduction of the Track Temperature Restriction Monitoring and Mobile Phone Detector. Prior to joining Wi-Tronix, Chad was General Manager at Watco Companies' South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad in Cherryvale, Kansas, with over nine years of experience in railway transportation operations. Chad received certificate of completion from the Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University in 2007 for Finance for Managers. He continued his education with multiple certifications from the US National Transportation Safety Board in 2008 and 2009.

Susan Schultz
Vice President - Talent Management

Sue leads the Talent Management and HR teams by composing, creating, maintaining, and growing the Wi-Tronix team to greatness. Before joining Wi-Tronix in 2009, Sue had over 25 years of recruitment experience for both large and small companies. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePaul University in 1983 and is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Outside of her role at Wi-Tronix, Sue volunteers on the Board of Directors for GiGi’s Playhouse and enjoys bike riding and singing.

Terri Sprout
Vice President - Finance

Terri began her career at Wi-Tronix in 2011 and assumed the position of Vice President of Finance in 2014. Terri brings to the Wi-Tronix team over 20 years experience in accounting and finance with a very strong systems background. Her experience includes preparation of monthly and annual financial statements including consolidation of foreign entities, coordination of external audits and tax returns, management of AR and AP functions, budgeting/forecasting, and analysis in both manufacturing and project accounting environments.She earned a degree in business administration for Accounting from the University of Saint Francis in 1991 and her MBA, with a concentration in management information systems, from DePaul in 2001. Her professional certifications include CPA, CMA, CGMA, and she is a member of IMA and AICPA.

Rich Arnold
Executive Director

Rich is a seasoned, multi-national, financial and operating executive with over forty years of experience with both small and medium sized software, IP, and applied technology businesses. He has held positions as Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and EVP-Strategy and Corporate Development for both public and privately held companies in both the United States and Australia. He has served on Boards of Directors of operating companies, holding companies, and investment management companies, including roles as Chairman of the Board and as Chairman of both Audit and Compensation Committees. Rich has originated, negotiated, closed, and integrated multiple acquisitions as well as several successful exits and has managed multiple significant restructurings and downsizing initiatives. Rich is also a genuine team leader and team builder, having hired and trained his own replacement on multiple occasions. He is an expert communicator, highly regarded by investment analysts for the strength of his presentations on earnings calls and at investment conferences.
